Get Scared Loses Vocalist

Get Scared released a statement last night that vocalist, Nicholas Matthews, has decided to leave the band. Nick's changes in musical direction are cited as the reason for his absence. Get Scared is assuring fans that there are no bad feelings between them and Nicholas saying on their Facebook page,

"We regret to inform you that (Nicholas Blake Matthews) has decided his time with Get Scared has run out. This is so hard for us to announce. However, this was not a decision made against Nicholas's wishes, nor was he kicked out by any means. Nicholas felt Get Scared was no longer what he wanted to pursue and has moved on musically. Once again, This is so hard for us to announce. We are all still shaken up by it. There is no preparing for a loss as great as this. Although this was a shock to the entire band, Nicholas and Get Scared absolutely have no bad blood towards one another.  Nicholas will forever be apart of the Get Scared family, and we all look forward to his undoubtful success as a musician."

Get Scared also said that they are currently working on new music. However, any winter touring plans that the band had are postponed until they can find a new vocalist. The band will be accepting video submissions from fans saying,

"We feel that we should give our fans an equal opportunity to become Get Scared's new singer as we would to a professional singer. Who better to give a chance to than the very people who gave us life, our fans."

Interview with Brian "Head" Welch

Hey guys! I was lucky enough to have the opportunity to talk with former Korn guitarist Brian "Head" Welch. As you may know, Head is not only an incredible musician, but he is also an accomplished author having released Save Me From Myself, Washed by Blood, and Stronger: 40 Days of Metal and Spirituality. Now a solo artist, he also just released a music video for his latest single, "Paralyzed". Check out my interview with Head:

Escape The Fate Loses Guitarist and Bassist? - UPDATE!

UPDATE:

Max Green has said on his official Twitter account (@max_the_ripper) that he will be releasing an official statement about his departure from Escape The Fate. I will be posting this statement as soon as it is released. Follow me on Twitter (@FrontPaigeMetal) for more updates!

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I have some bad news for Escape The Fate fans. In the past few days, people, including current and former band members, have been tweeting that there are serious lineup changes to come. Earlier this week, these tweets showed up on lead vocalist Craig Mabbitt's Twitter (@caige) about bassist Max Green's apparent departure from the band:

Fans started talking even more when Ronnie Radke (@REDRUMRONNIE), the band's former vocalist, responded with this:

However, when a fan asked Craig if the rumors about guitarist, Monte Money, leaving the band were true, he responded, "No, he's not." I am not confirming anything as of right now. Max (@max_the_ripper) and Monte (@MonteBMoney) are yet to comment about what has been happening with the band. I will keep all of you updated as I find out new information.

Check out RAINS!

A band from northern Indiana, RAINS is a band for the people. While not into the glitz and glamour that some bands are into, these guys (Jeff Rains- vocals/guitar, Andy Ryan- drums, Matt Hopkins- bass, and Jason Anderson- guitar) are all about keeping it real. Often describing their music as "story telling", the band released their debut album Stories which features song like "Liar" and "Look In My Eyes".
I recently spoke with Jeff Rains:

Falling In Reverse Cancels Tour Dates

So, Falling In Reverse has just announced that they are cancelling their East Coast tour with We Came As Romans which was scheduled to run from November 23rd-December 11th. (We Came As Romans and the other bands will still perform as scheduled) The tour has been cancelled due to the fact that FIR was supposed to tour with Black Veil Brides for 2 weeks leading into this tour. However, with Black Veil Brides cancelling their own tour, things changed.
In the next couple of weeks, Falling In Reverse will be announcing a full US tour for early 2012.

*NOTE: Falling In Reverse WILL still be performing at the Buzz Bakesale in West Palm Beach on December 3rd*

For more info, check out FIR's Facebook page here. I'll post the new tour dates as soon as they are announced.
