Check It Out! ~ Duff McKagan's "Believe In Me"

This is the first post of the new column I'm starting. It will be posted every Friday; It's called "Check It Out!" (Yes, I know, NOT the most original title. But hey, it fits, doesn't it?) Here at Check It Out! I'll be telling you about artists, albums, and DVDs that are an absolute MUST! Anyway, Check It Out!'s debut post is about none other than Duff McKagan....
Now, Duff is (obviously) best known for his work in bands such as Guns N' Roses and Velvet Revolver, but also for his solo project Loaded. Duff has also had other solo projects, and that is what I'm going to be talking about. In 1993, Duff released his first solo album titled "Believe In Me". With guest appearances by Slash, Matt Sorum, Dizzy Reed, Gilby Clarke, West Arkeen, Jeff Beck, Sebastian Bach, Snake (Sabo), Rob Affuso, and Lenny Kravitz, this album has got edge. From punk rock to sweet ballads, Duff has a little bit of everything on this record. What's most impressive? He played almost all of the instruments on the album himself. As if you didn't know before, this man has got some major talent!

So, what do you think of Duff's album? Comment below. Are there any other artists, albums, or even DVDs that rock and you think people should hear about? Let me know.
