Carnival of Madness Review

This past Wednesday I checked out the Carnival of Madness show in Albany, NY, at the Times Union Center! First of all, the crowd was WAY smaller than I thought it was going to be (probably because of all the insane weather the East Coast has been having). But as Myles Kennedy said during Alter Bridge's set, "There might not be a lot of you here, but you have a lot of spirit and that's the most important thing." Because of the size of the audience, the show much more intimate than expected.
The show got off to a high energy start with Emphatic! The guys immediately got the crowd into the show.

Next, Adelitas Way took the stage performing about a 30 minute set including their newest single, "Sick".

Unfortunately, I missed most of Black Stone Cherry's set because of waiting to meet Rick DeJesus (it took me FOREVER to walk around the arena!). However, I did get a few pictures.

As Alter Bridge walked out onto the stage, you could tell that if people hadn't been into the show already, they were then! Their set included favorites like "Ghost Of Days Gone By", their newest hit, "Isolation", and a heartfelt tribute of "Blackbird". Myles told the audience that a man that was at the show had just lost his son and that "Blackbird" had been his favorite song.

Finally the headliners, Theory of a Deadman, performed, and they were amazing! I managed to get front row for their part of the show. Their set included "Lowlife", "Not Meant To Be", and "Bitch Came Back". Tyler's voice sounded just as great live as it does on their albums. The guys definitely delivered a great show!
