Former Guns N' Roses drummer, Steven Adler, has recently announced that he has formed a new band, Adler. The lineup includes Adler's Appetite guitarist Lonny Paul and frontman Jacob Bunton (Lynam, Mars Electric).
"I love the music that we're creating!" states Adler. "I haven't been this excited about my band since the GNR days. Jacob is exactly the singer I have been searching for. He has an amazing range and is a great writer and frontman. Lonny is an amazing guitarist and songwriter and the vibe is amazing!"
The band is currently working on their debut album with producers Jeff Pilson (Dokken, Foreigner) and Jay Ruston (Anthrax, Steel Panther, The Donna's). The album will feature guest appearances from Adler's former Guns N' Roses bandmate Slash as well as Rob Zombie guitarist John 5 (formerly of Marilyn Manson). "I'm so excited for everyone to hear this record!" states Adler.
Steven Adler, along with Slash, Duff McKagan, Axl Rose, and Izzy Stradlin will be inducted into the Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame. Later GnR members Matt Sorum and Dizzy Reed will also be inducted at the ceremony in Cleveland next month.
